Net Competency

netiquette
When surfing the internet, you must follow certain standard to communicate with others. Since no one owns the internet, netiquette is basically a mixed of common sense and courtesy. You must not forget that there is a human being at the end of the telephone line when using the internet.

Good netiquette involves respecting others' privacy and not doing anything online that will annoy or frustrate other people.

Three areas where good netiquette is highly stressed are e-mail, online chat and newsgroup.
